Terms of Service

Important: This is a general template. You must have it reviewed by qualified counsel for your country, business structure, and risk profile before relying on it in app stores or in court.

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Islamate (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Operator

The Service is operated by [YOUR LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS] (“we”, “us”, “our”). Replace this section with your company details.

3. Eligibility & accounts

• You must provide accurate registration information (display name, contact details, and other fields shown at signup).
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security or legal risk.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harassing, hateful, or discriminatory activity, or to distribute malware.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, other users’ data, or to circumvent security or billing.
• Scrape, spam, or overload the Service in a way that harms others or our infrastructure.
• Upload content you do not have the right to share, or that infringes others’ intellectual property or privacy.

5. Subscriptions & payments

Paid features, if offered, are billed according to the payment flow shown at checkout. Taxes and fees may apply. Unless required by law, fees are generally non-refundable except as stated at purchase.

7. Content & messaging

You retain rights to content you send, but you grant us a limited license to host, transmit, and display it as needed to operate the Service. We may remove content or restrict features to comply with law or protect users.

8. Voice, video & third-party services

Real-time features may use third-party infrastructure (for example WebRTC signaling, push notifications). Your use of those features is subject to their technical requirements and our Privacy Policy.

Voice and video calls — availability

Calls are only offered where permitted by our settings and applicable law. Your country is detected automatically from your current location and must be in a supported region; both sides of a direct chat must be allowed to call.

Voice and video calls are not available when your detected country is one of the following (as configured by Islamate):

• China (CN)

Calls may be available in other regions when your detected country is on our current allow list (see blocked regions above).

On the Islamate app for iPhone and iPad downloaded from the China App Store, voice and video calls are not available because of local platform rules (including restrictions on system call integration). You can still use chat and other features. This limitation applies to the iOS app in that storefront, not because of a setting you can change in Profile.

On Android and on the website, calls may still be unavailable if your detected country is listed above, if your location cannot be determined, or if subscription or contact rules do not allow calling.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) zero if you have not paid.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or for operational or legal reasons, with notice where required by law.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the new date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable law and disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where the service operator is established, unless mandatory consumer law in your country requires otherwise.
